AIG Travel Taps Philip H. Hsia as President of AIG Travel, Americas

Stevens Point, Wis. – August 20, 2014 – AIG Travel recently announced the appointment of Philip H. Hsia as President of AIG Travel, Americas. In his new role, Hsia will manage AIG Travel and its suite of Travel Guard products and services (www.travelguard.com) in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Hsia brings more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience to AIG Travel, along with a background in direct marketing, regulated insurance intermediation, partnership development, and hospitality management.

Hsia joins AIG Travel from American Express, where he served as the Vice President and General Manager of International Insurance Services, with responsibility for insurance products in 21 markets. He joined American Express in the Strategic Planning Group and held roles of increased responsibility in Global Merchant Services and International Consumer and Small Business Services, where he was responsible for International CRM and Privacy.

Prior to American Express, Hsia held positions in sales and operations at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University and a MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University.
